PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged woman kept alive by a feeding tube for 15 years during an epic legal and medical battle, has died, her husband's attorney said this morning. The announcement was made at about 10 a.m.

About a half-hour before her death was announced, friends of her parents said she was noticeably weaker this morning. They said her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had sought to join her husband at her bedside for her last hours today.

To avoid conflict, the Schindlers and their son-in-law, Michael Schiavo, have not been in Terri Schiavo's room at the same time.

The parents lost two more rounds in court yesterday in their attempt to put their 41-year-old daughter back on a feeding tube.
